Quick Rights Seminar - Selling tanslations rights as licenses and co-editions
The Bologna Childrens Book Fair and the Frankfurt Book Fair are organizing a training seminar which will be held on Monday April 23rd. This Seminar, intended for Right Managers and Junior Right Managers, is aimed to improve the knowledge in rights trading.

New Layout
The 2007 edition of the Fair will mark a slight change in the usual pavilion layout thanks to the completion of the construction works of the lobby connecting 4 previously separated halls, which enable the creation of a more comfortable and functional environment. Consequently the halls known as 27 and 28 housing British and American publishers have been renamed respectively 25 and 26. Even if the location of the booths will only be slightly affected, stand numbers will be modified significantly.

Guest of Honour
The Guest of Honour of the 2007 Illustrators Exhibition is Belgium Wallonia Brussels: a region with a long and established tradition of excellence in the field of illustration and comics. A considerable group of artists will be introduced in the Exhibition Parade. The catalogue and the poster made by Anne Herbauts will be on sale. Several meetings and initiatives will be held in the fairground but also downtown in Bologna (an exhibition of comics as well as a personal show dedicated to Anne Herbauts).

Illustrators Exhibition
The Illustrators Exhibition Jury has chosen this year 85 artists out of 2,653 entries form 58 different countries. The Selection Commission was composed by Jeffrey Garrett, Northwestern University, Chicago, USA; Katsumi Komagata, artist and publisher, Japan; Fausta Orecchio, publisher, Italy; Lisbeth Zwerger, artist, Austria. The list of the selected illustrators is now available online.
